Accommodation
This characterful old house is one of Bradford on Avon's longest established B&Bs and has been run by Suzanne for over 25 years. The many returning guests comment that the house and garden are an idyllic rural retreat. You are very welcome to wander round the garden or sit during the long summer evenings by the small secluded fish pond. In the chilly months you might want to warm by the fire in the sitting room catching up with daily news papers which Suzanne is happy to order for you. Antique furniture combines tastefully with modern pieces, much of them made by one of the country's leading furniture designers, Jeremy Broun. The house contains many pieces of artwork by well-established local painters and sculptors.
Alternatively, enjoy the beautiful view of the Wiltshire countryside through the floor to ceiling windows in the upstairs double room whilst sipping a cup of tea. This spacious airy bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and a super-king size bed. The very comfortable twin-bedded room overlooks the garden and orchard and is just as peaceful. All beds are made up with goose-down pillows and duvets (unless an alternative is required) which add to the cozy warmth and comfort of your stay.
Herb Cottage is a non-smoking household throughout.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast, which is served in the garden room from 7.30am - 9.30am, comprises deliciously fresh homemade food and Suzanne can cater for most dietary requirements.
The breakfast menu offers a selection from the following:
- Freshly brewed tea and/or coffee
- Fruit juice
- Cereals, muesli, fruit compote and yoghurt
- Bacon, eggs, sausages, tomatoes and mushrooms
- Boiled eggs
- Toast, marmalade, honey and jams
